Rooftop is the third chapter of the Alien Headbutt manga series by Akira Inui. It was released on February 22, 2026.
Summary
Ouga tests his now enhanced strength, due to being bit by a parasite, by easily lifting a 750 kg broken truck. He tells Haruya that once he saves the town, he plans to go to a mainland hospital to have the parasite removed from his body. Haruya leads Ouga to the roof of Mukurojima Middle School, where he previously spotted survivors trapped inside alien egg "nest", including his older brother, Tatsumi. After arriving at the roof, they find the regular aliens already dead and the captives unconscious but breathing inside the sacs. Ouga is surprised to realize that Haruya's brother Tatsumi is his old childhood friend who used to protect him from bullies. Tatsumi wakes up and warns them that there is another, higher up kind of alien that he saw while trapped. Suddenly, a massive, muscular alien appears and is shown eating the dead aliens. Ouga tries to fight the alien but finds it too heavy to throw. Tatsumi tries to help by stabbing the monster in the eye with a knife, but lacks the strength to pierce it. The chapter ends with Tatsumi declaring it is his turn to rescue Ouga, while a bloodied Ouga smiles, ready to finish the fight.
